KIDS! DIY STUFFED CREATURES CAMP / AUG 4-8 9a-12p

Let your imagination run wild as you create your very own hand-sewn stuffed animal or fantasy creature! In this week-long camp, led by Summer from TIGEROWL & Kat from KMOK Art, kids will explore character design, textile surface art, and sewing techniques to bring their creatures to life. Students will start by drawing their designs and preparing their fabric using techniques like batik dying, mark making and painting. Then, they will practice sewing with machines, adding their creative touches to curves and shapes. As they stitch, stuff, and embellish their creatures, each child will create a one-of-a-kind stuffed animal or fantasy creature to take home!
Open to ages 7-14. Each session will include a snack break, please pack a snack and water bottle for you child. The camp will be held at 1842 E Main St, Ventura. All materials and tools will be included.
Skills Learned:
- Creative character design
- Textile surface art (marbling, painting, block printing)
- Sewing machine techniques for curves and shapes
- Hand sewing and stuffing
- Toy/stuffy construction
To cancel or reschedule, please contact us 7 days before the camps starts and we can offer you a refund or credit. Staff and materials are prepared for scheduled classes based on their capacity. If cancelling or rescheduling within the 7 day period, no refund or credit can be given, however if we are able to fill your spot we can give you credit for the amount of the camp.
