KIDS! SEW YOUR OWN PANTS / JULY 20-24 9a-12p

Who doesn't love to wear something you made with your own two hands? In this week-long camp, kids will explore textile design and sewing techniques to create their very own pants. Students will start by drawing their designs and measuring for their size before getting an opportunity to do some surface design (dyeing, block printing, painting, etc) on their fabric. They will also practice machine sewing some small projects before tackling their pants.
Open to ages 8-13. Each session will include a snack break, please pack a snack and water bottle for you child. The camp will be held at 1842 E Main St, Ventura. All materials and tools will be included.
Skills Learned:
- Garment design
- Sewing machine techniques for curves and shapes
- Surface design
- Sewing pockets
- Installing an elastic waistband
To cancel or reschedule, please contact us 7 days before the camps starts and we can offer you a refund or credit. Staff and materials are prepared for scheduled classes based on their capacity. If cancelling or rescheduling within the 7 day period, no refund or credit can be given, however if we are able to fill your spot we can give you credit for the amount of the camp.
