In this workshop we learn methods of patching fabric together in a freehand style. This is a great way to use up your scraps and just have fun with color and shapes. We will introduce a bit of patterning so that you can start with a sketch if you'd like, or ways to completely let go and let the fabric take the lead. Either way, we believe you will walk away with the confidence to create unique pieces of your own!
This workshop requires that you have either attended one of our Intro to Sewing classes or Crash Course workshops, or that you to know how to operate a sewing machine and can sew without frequent hangups. Workshops are held at our studio at 1842 E Main St, Ventura. All materials and tools will be included, including a sewing machine. Attendees must be 12+, minors must be accompanied by an adult.
To cancel or reschedule, please contact 2 days before class. Staff and materials are prepared for scheduled classes based on their capacity. Unfortunately, cancelled or rescheduled workshops are not eligible for a refund. You are awarded full class credit toward a future class if cancelled 2 days or before. If cancelling or rescheduling within the 2 day period, no class credit can be given.
