CUSTOM BLOCK PRINTED EASY SAILOR PANTS / TUESDAY OCTOBER 24
Let's make some custom pants! The Easy Sailor Pants that you've known and loved can now be completely one of a kind! In this workshop, you will design your own print to be made into your own one-of-a-kind pair of pants. We'll be working with block printing. We are here to guide you with pattern ideas, show you different techniques, and help you in the creative process of making a custom textile design. We will provide precut blocks, pattern options and a variety of colors.
In this intimate 5 person workshop, you will have the option to work on a white linen or a white lightweight cotton canvas. Just a note- the pigments fade a bit more on the linen, so if you choose linen, just remember your design will reduce in saturation with the first few washes, giving it a worn, vintage look. Please note that our studio is on the second floor with only stairs as an access. Our apologies that we cannot currently accommodate all abilities, but we hope to be able to at some point.
Workshop is held at our studio on Fix Way in Ventura, CA. Look for a detailed email prior to your date with more info.Please bring an apron or wear clothing that you don't mind possibly getting messy. You will leave your fabric to dry at the studio and we will sew your pants and have them ready for pickup within about 2 weeks. Shipping will be available if needed. There will also be the option for a custom length, if desired. If you need help deciding your size, please email us ahead of time!
To cancel or reschedule, please contact 2 days before class. Staff and materials are prepared for scheduled classes based on their capacity. Unfortunately, cancelled or rescheduled workshops are not eligible for a refund. You are awarded full class credit toward a future class if cancelled 2 days or before. If cancelling or rescheduling within the 2 day period, no class credit can be given.
