COMMUNITY QUILT BLOCK SESSION / SUNDAY NOV 17

We are organizing a community quilt! We currently have lots of crazy energy around the political atmosphere right now. Fiber arts has a very long history not just in American politics and social justice, but in cultures all over the world long, long before America even existed. Creating something with your hands can be very empowering and a way to build community. 

Join us in our studio on November 17 from 2-5pm if you'd like to contribute to this project! We have lots of scraps to use, no sewing experience is necessary, just come with an open mind and the desire to create something with your own two hands. Fabric and thread donations are welcome but not necessary. We are asking contributors to make a block that represents their feelings post-election and/or what they are passionate about protecting.

Our goal with this quilt is to create a queen sized quilt to auction off and use the funds to donate to a non-profit, such as the National Network of Abortion Funds, ACLU, or another organization TBD.
